Citizenship Day 2023 at San Jose City College

On April 29th, from 8 AM – 5 PM at San Jose City College, ALA will be hosting the first in-person Citizenship Day since 2019!
Citizenship Day is our largest naturalization clinic of the year. We provide attendees with citizenship education, legal consultations, application assistance, study materials, and more.

In 2021, Citizenship Day provided:
1214 individuals with citizenship education in 14 languages
428 submitted citizenship applications
410 submitted employment authorization document applications and renewals
310 submitted DACA applications and renewals
141 fee waivers to low-income participants
129 submitted applications toward lawful permanent residency
None of this would be possible without the volunteers who help make this happen!

We need your help at Citizenship Day 2023!
Volunteers will assist with registration, logistics, form filling (N-400), and attorney review. Community members, attorneys, paralegals, translators (Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, etc.), and college and law students are welcome!

All volunteers must attend a 2 hour training. Volunteer trainings are available on the following dates:

Thursday, April 6 at 12 PM and Wednesday, April 12 at 5 PM
