Make Connections this Saturday in Los Altos!

Over two years in the making, the exhibition delivers an immersive experience through expansive video walls, interactive touch screens and listening stations, and intriguing artifacts to tell the story of the people and events that shaped the area. Visitors are invited to virtually explore the hills, creeks, valley, and town as they get to know local history.

Opening Event Schedule

• 11:15 am: Welcome from Muwekma Ohlone Tribe

• 11:40 am: Comments from elected officials and museum representatives

• 12 pm: Ribbon-cutting ceremony

• 12–4 pm: Timed museum exhibition tours. Reservations for Tours are onsite.

• 12:15–4 pm: Intercultural performances curated by Mosaic America celebrating our diverse neighborhoods through cultural expressions. Artists include:

  • Golden Turtle Lion Dance Association
  • Grupo Folclorico Tempos De Outrora
  • Jen’a Sims, presented by Justice Vanguard
  • Mountain View Kendo Dojo
  • Nubian Soul, Mike Fair
  • Sifu Jeffrey Fung, Bay Area Tai Chi
  • Simorgh Dance Collective
  • Xpressions Dance

This event is in support of Los Altos History Museum’s new Permanent Exhibition, “Making Connections: Stories from the Land” appearing on the 2nd floor beginning February 11, 2023.
