Since 2017, the City has hosted the Spanish Language Leadership Academy. Each session is led by staff from City departments and includes information on each department’s core service function, major activities, programs and project overview. The program also features interactive exercises and group discussion. It is designed to embrace local diversity and increase awareness of city functions, services, activities and local issues to prepare citizens for local leadership, volunteerism and involvement in the community.
